Crocks

GM exec stands by calling global warming a "crock"

It takes courage to say something so politically incorrect. Good for him for not backing down.

1 in a million

So this guy drove his 91 Chevy Silverado 1,000,000 miles.

Okay, I hate car payments as much as the next guy, but seriously. That's crazy. On NPR he talked about his documentation to support his claim including detailed repair and oil change receipts. How many water pumps and brake pads does it take to go 1 million miles? If a crate motor is on this list, I think that is cheating.

My Dakota is approaching the 150K mark. It still runs and starts like it did when I got it about 8 years ago, but some days I can't image driving it to 200K. It's never left me stranded and it has never been on a tow truck. It did run out of gas on two occasions, once with MLW in the cab, but obviously that is just operator error. If I keep it to 200K, I will probably keep it forever. No sense trading it or trying to sell it.

I wonder if Frank's truck still has the original seat. That would be impressive.
