Unseemly update

The bearing carrier has been disassembled and the bearings have been removed. The right side bearing came out in one piece (with some coaxing from a large hammer.) The remains of the left side came out in two pieces with some coaxing from a Dremel and a grinding wheel.

The left side showed some scoring, but it cleaned up fairly well and should be able to take a new bearing without any issues.

Next I will order the parts from Boss Bearing to begin the reassembly.

Comments:
how long did it take you with the Dremel? last time i did it, it took hours.

wow. 20 bucks for a set of bearings. thats a good price.

It probably took about 30-45 minutes. There wasn't much left.

i wonder if i didn't have the right cutting blade for my dremel.
